Horizon Auto Logistics, who operates as Horizon Auto Logistics in Mexico, has effective January 2020 aligned it’s branding and commenced operating as Horizon Auto Logistics also in the U.S. as the company aligns its business in the Americas.

Says Per Folkesson, CEO; “The name Horizon Auto Logistics better represents our service portfolio and our ambition to be an innovator in the automotive supply chain. Today we operate as both 3PL and LLP in the Mexican market, while the U.S. automotive supply chain for finished vehicles is much more fragmented. We believe though that as the industry comes under increasing pressure to reduce costs, OEMs will be convinced that moving to a more seamless logistics model is the way forward”.

Horizon is currently operating facilities in Freeport, TX, Jacksonville and Port Everglades, FL, Veracruz and Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico. The company further holds an interest in Fast Terminal International with operating facilities in Colombia and Dominican Republic.

Per continues; “In Fast Terminal we see a company with similar values and ambitions as us, we cooperate closely and are somewhat integrated into one management. Fast Terminal will continue to operate in 2020 under the current name and our intention is to further study how we can integrate our operations even more”.

Horizon is serving the automotive industry and the ocean carriers with full port and terminal services, including stevedoring, yard operations, technical processing services, inland transportation and distribution management. The company handles finished new vehicles, privately owned vehicles, high and heavy equipment and breakbulk, all commodities carried by PCTC operators.
